Bosnia and Herzegovina has a long and exiting history, being occuied by the Ottomans for almost 500 years, and being a part of the Austrian-Hungarian empire, before becoming a part of Yugoslavia. On this eight-day tour you will learn about the Muslim culture in Bosnia, as well as experiencing many of the most interesting sites and cities of the country.

Arrival in Sarajevo where your Relax Tours guide will welcome you at the airport. After check in at the hotel, we have a half day city tour of Sarajevo. Halal dinner at the hotel.


Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast we will have a sightseeing tour of Sarajevo where you will experience the beautiful Ottoman style mosques and architecture, the old quarters that still remain an authentic Turkish carsija with oriental sweet shops, cafes and traditional Bosnian food. During our tour we will visit; The Old City Hall, Old handcrafts street, Gazi Husrev bey’s mosque, Eternalflame,etc. Noon prayer in Gazi Husrey bey mosque or Baščaršijska mosque. From the city we drive to Bjelanica mountain where we have Halal lunch 2000 meters above sea level. After lunch we have free time where you can enjoy this beautiful mountain with biking, hiking or even taking the ski lift to the top. In the late afternoon we return to Sarajevo where we have halal dinner in a traditional restaurant.



Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast we drive to Srebrenica Genocide Memorial. The cemetery is dedicated to the 8,372 Srebrenica civilians who were murdered during the Bosnian War by members of the Serbian Army. Noon prayer in mosque in Srebrenica. Halal lunch in city of Goražde, where we will also visit a Turkish mosque. We continue to Foča, where we visit the destroyed Aladza mosque. The mosque is on the list of UNESCO protected cultural monument. We return to Sarajevo, in the late afternoon where we have Halal dinner at the hotel.



Breakfast and check out of the hotel. From Sarajevo we drive to Travnik. Travnik was for over 150 years, the vizier, the Ottoman Sultan representative in Bosnia and where he had his headquearters. In Travnik we will visit the Old Town, the birth house of the famous nobel prize winner Ivo Andric and Sulejmanija Mosque.  We have a noon prayer in Sulejmanija Mosque followed by a Halal lunch in a traditional restaurant on the spring of Plava Voda.  From Travnik we drive to Vlasic mountain, a mountain over 2000 meters above sea level, where you will have time to enjoy the fresh mountain air. Halal dinner at local traditional restaurant.



Breakfast and check out of the hotel. From Vlasic we drive to the city of Jajce. In Jajce we will have a Tour in the Royal City museum, as well as having a sightseeing of the beautiful 20 meter high waterfalls, as well as visit to AVNOJ the grounding of ex-Yugoslavia museum. Noon prayer Esma Sultana Mosque in Jajce.

 From Jajce we continue to Pliva Lakes, where you have time to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Pliva lakes are situated in pure nature area and in the middle separated with several mills built during the Ottoman era. The mills are know as “mličići”  (small  mills). We have lunch in a local seafood restaurant, before heading to Mostar. We arrive in Mostar in the afternoon where we have free time, before having halal dinner in the hotel in Mostar.


Breakfast and a guided tour of Mostar, where we can experience the Stari Most bridge and the Ottoman part of the city. We drive from Mostar to Blagaj where we visit Dervish Tekia. Noon prayer in Tekia  and lunch with fresh river fish menu. After lunch we visit  Počitilj, and old Ottoman city. In the afternoon we return to Mostar where we will have Halal dinner and spend the night.


Breakfast and check out of the hotel. On our way to Sarajevo we stop in Konjic for Halal lunch. Noon prayer in one of the mosques in Konjic, and a visit to a destroyed minaret from the war.  We continue to Sarajevo, where the afternoon is freetime. Halal Dinner in the hotel.



Breakfast and check out of the hotel. A visit to the “Tunnel of Hope”, war museum. The tunnel was the only way to get in and out of Sarajevo during the siege of the city. From the museum we visit Vrelo Bosne, the spring of Bosna, a protected natural area. After Vrelo Bosne we drive to Butmir airport for the departure.
